Foursquare Private Cask Selection (Whisky & Rum Aan Zee)
Sip this one neat — it's a classic Foursquare built for a tasting glass, not a mixer. Expect the familiar glue-and-vanilla nose, then caramel, roasted coconut and dried fruit with light chocolate and coffee in the empty glass. The 15 years adds depth and a slightly bitter, acidic edge that one taster felt was almost a touch too old. Balanced, dry, and unmistakably FSQ.

Private bottle for www.zeewijck.nl. Original price 79 euros. On the nose: typical FS: glue, velpon. Like a grain whisky. A bit acidic. But as always the charm is in the taste not the smell. It packs a lot of nice yet predictable FS flavours. Well balanced. Fruity. Vanilla. The sour note is there but stays in place. Nothing surprising but well aged. 48% is perfect. I don't think it gets much better for it's price.

Soft entry-level FS. But has beautiful depth at the back by the 15 years. Thus also quite bitter, almost already a Tacken too old. But still hits exactly the right point.

Alcohol very well integrated. Amazingly good Foursquare!

Another lovely release where the price matches what you get. Fruity well balanced with spice and roasted wood. Nice curtains and the empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some chocolate and light coffee.
