Foursquare Sixty Six
Milk chocolate, caramel and vanilla lead, with coconut and warm spice keeping the sweetness in check. This is Foursquare at 12 years and cask strength, so there's real power behind the sweetness. Several tasters put it right alongside the pricier Exceptional Cask Series. A couple found the alcohol a touch dominant and one caught a soapy note, but most see plenty of flavor here.

Aggregated from 49 community reviews.
Chocolate-caramel Barbados at full strength Most drinkers love the chocolate-caramel-coconut profile and the power for the money. A few find the alcohol dominant or the palate a bit one-dimensional next to the ECS bottlings.

Nothing special but drinkable

Beautiful Foursquare, for me a great nose consisting of chocolate, caramel, vanilla and wood, really great. The same on the palate, but with the addition of spices. I find it a little too intense, but still good.
Review by Johannes
The nose is quite good, but the alcohol is dominant on the palate. Unfortunately, there is also a soapy note, which may also be due to my sample.

At the price this is a great rum with a lot of power!

surprisingly sweet rum, sweeter than I thought. some typical tastes are there : vanilla, woods, coconut... but a bit more chocolatey than other barbadians I've tasted. nothing special in there, a good rum, worth its price.

Beautiful sipping rum from Barbados which offers a lot without being too complex. The definitely does not have to hide from one or the other younger bottling from the distillery which are priced significantly above this. Round thing.

The price for this FS CS ( and often was on offer ) is very good value for money.

Due to my moderate enthusiasm for coconut, I am not the biggest Foursquare fan on earth. However, this rum has a lot more to offer besides coconut. I perceive above all a nice sweet and milk chocolate, caramel and vanilla, by roasting flavors and spices is the whole sweet stuff but skillfully counteracted and kept the balance. The alcohol is well integrated. For the price (I paid a good 60€ in 2023 😇)it really is a very nice bottle.

Quite similar to the Foursquare 2008 and 2009 ECS. Minimally less intense.

very good barrel strength Barbados at unbeatable PLV! 🔥

Blood orange from the nose to the finish, all topped with choco that would have been left lying around in the middle of the spice bottles. It drinks itself. Very good value even at 70 🤪

Chocolate hits the nape straight away and that demera delight ... Typical notes of demera on the nose ... Heaven scents of butterscotch... Taste is that typical oak smokiness that is divine wow such a delight to drink.. I only had a small dram so didn't cocktail this but man the UK needs to import this ...

Read full review →I could have compared this to the original Rum Sixty Six but I couldn't see much point in doing that. In many ways this is the very essence of what rum should be. Bear in mind the cask strength Mount Gay XO was £140...... Outstanding value. I really hope this...
