17.05.2019 Nice get together at my place with nice spread of rums. Notes Light to medium dark in colour. Nose Intense, fresh, fruity, overripe, banana, olive, solvents. Palate Oily, intense, banana, overripe, spicy, light nutts, light leather, earthy. Finish Very long and warm, light wood, light leather, faint tobacco, fruits, light chocolate.

The nose is, of course, of ripe tropical fruit. Fresh camphor and notes of wax box. And also tobacco and spices. A very attractive, controlled nose. On the palate, it's lively and very markedly olive/sour. Then the pineapple comes to the fore. Despite 20 years of ageing, there's little woodiness, except to give structure to the whole. The pastry nose is less present, it's really the olive/pineapple mix that's in the spotlight. The finish is beautiful and rather long, with a funkier side and overripe fruit. I love this Jamaican
