Skeldon S.B.S Selected and bottled for Warehouse #1 SWR 2001
You might expect a Guyana demerara to lean sweet, but this 2001 Skeldon reads dark and roasty first: coffee, mocha and burnt sugar with dried figs and a little chocolate underneath. The 51.4% ABV sits well integrated — one taster called it clean but still expressive. Several noticed an oily texture that leaves long curtains in the glass. Wood is present without taking over.

In crosstasting with the "normal" S.B.S Skeldon, I only recognize minimal differences. The alcohol is slightly more present in the warehouse edition. However, both have very nice Guyana notes and can be recommended without reservation!

I don't know where the host got this bottle and I don't care actually because this is a very nice Skeldon. Roasted wood with light fruit and spices as well as light coffee and chocolate. I like it, I like it a lot. The oily texture on the palate transfers into the most wonderful curtains in the glass that stay for a long time. The empty glass is amazing after an hour.

Super demerara bien sombre. Un typique Pruneau confit bien gourmand, avec des notes torréfiées et un boisé bien présent mais pas trop non plus. Franchement super rum. Merci Lukas!

I really like, very nice round nose and palate. Maybe a little spicier (pepper, clove) than the 'standard'-S.B.S bottling. Many thanks to Luke for the bottle purchase!

Mega nose with a great, dark profile. Clean and yet expressive. Plenty of power on the palate with lots of nut, spice and beautifully integrated sweetness. An absolute recommendation!
Review by Basti
A coffee note dominates the nose, accompanied by dried figs and licorice in the background. An exciting floral note on the palate, which quickly fades to make way for notes of coffee and spices. Alcohol is also well integrated here, but almost a little too drinkable/mild. The finish is rather short-medium.
