Orange peel, almond and soft oak lead this Guadeloupe blend of molasses and cane juice, aged 12 years in ex-bourbon oak. It's dry and balanced with hints of caramel, chocolate and pepper — but nearly everyone says the same thing: at 42% it drinks too light. One taster wished for a "higher ABV," and several find it fades fast on the finish.

The first thing that comes to mind with this rum is that it's too light. It has been diluted far too much and I would have loved a higher ABV. It's still fresh and has the Damoiseau flavours; fruity vanilla and light wood. There is also a nice hint of caramel and chocolate. Price to quality is can be discussed :-)

Bon rhum, mais il me laisse sur ma faim. Pas assez de profondeur, pas assez de fruité. Équilibré mais manque un peu de mordant.

Příjemná ale za mě velmi nekonrétní vůně. Možná takový vanilkový pudin s kompotem. Chuť je příjemná, náznaky zemitosti i ovoce, ale pocitově je to příliž naředěné a snesl bych výrazně vyšší abv. Téměř žádný závěr.
