#7085 26.07.2026 Relaxing with a few samples while watching the Da Vinci Code. A very nice Haiti with a really good price tag at release. Sugarcane profile with grass, spice, light roasted wood, honey, ginger and light minerals.

Clairin sajous Ansyen released for Poland. It writes rum casks but it's definitely most likely Caroni. Why did they advertise it like that while some other Clairin Ansyen show ex-Caroni cask, I have no idea. On the nose I have some medicinal notes of glue and tar. The usual notes of Sajous are there in the background, sugarcane juice and olive brine In the mouth, I have medicinal and herbal notes, as well as sugarcane sweetness and young age wood. The final is rather short. This is a quite interesting bottling, not groundbreaking but once again, these Clairin Ansyen are quite cheap. Among other Clairin Ansyen I have, it's probably the weakest

The nose is superb, and the palate is delicious and pastry-like! Average length. Typical Sajous profile, I recognized the distillery blind (but didn't know the bottle).

Very good matches Sajous with ex-Rhum cask. Possibly I’m wrong but it reminds me Bielle Rhum from Marie Galante. Very fruity, fresh, intense, sweet-sour-herbal. Lots of herbs and flowers. Honey, acid, glue. Very good sipping product. And I expected that some cocktails on this should be absolutely fabulous, I’m going to try…
