Marnt sugar, roasted nuts and marzipan lead here, with vanilla and banana underneath and a smoky, almost cigar-ash edge on the finish that divides people. One taster nailed it as a peanut-butter old-fashioned in rum form. A couple wish it had more fruit; the ashy, coffee-like close is the thing you'll either enjoy or tire of quickly.

Schmeckt mir etwas zu sehr nach „Asche“ bzw. Zigarre am Ende. Die Früchte fehlen hier.

Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig - hat etwas von einem Cocktail. Könnte ein Fat-washed Erdnussbutter Rum Oldfashioned sein, zumindest lässt mich diese Assoziation nicht los. Aromatisch viel Vanillezucker, Karamell, Kaffeelikör, Marzipan, Banane und eine recht ausdrucksstarke Erdnussnote. Lässt sich trinken, aber wird mir auch schnell etwas zu viel.

Read full review →If you haven't got aged rum don't try and create it by nefarious methods its really quite insulting to rum drinkers. The fact that is made using rums from smaller distilleries such as La Bourdinise should gain it kudos but when its been "masked" in such a way any goodwill...
