This is a tasting set from 2022 where we had a lot of fun around the table. A very nice release from Romdeluxe and I have tried it a few times since then as well. A fruity and naturally sweet rum with nice spices and wood. The ABV is really well integrated and it draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass is also fruity with a little chocolate and citrus.

.. Foursquare je destilerka z Barbadosu produkujici uzasne rumy ke kazdodennimu popijeni. Je to rum, ktery oceni zejmena rumari, kteri maji plne zuby cukru a hledaji jemny, nasladly rum plny kokosu, vanilky, cokolady a karamelu. Proste prijemne a nijak agresivni chute.

8,4:On the nose, toasted wood/oak notes like caramel, burnt sugar, dark chocolate, nuts, leather, spicy, barrel impact is obvious, dried fruits like raisins and apricots, coconut, herbaceous molasses, glue and metallic patina, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, it becomes syrupy, citrus and exotic fruits join, toasted wood brings warmth and pastry, cookie dough, biscuits, vanilla, molasses is mineral, earthy, slightly floral. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is slightly rough with medicinal notes and sweet wood notes like caramel, burnt sugar, leather, nuts, dark chocolate, spicy with allspice, warm, vanilla, fruity with dried apricots and raisins, citrus and tropical fruits, as molasses is vegetal, earthy, floral, dark with licorice hints and sweet with honey. 8,3:The finish is medium long, dry, tannic, mineral, with toasted oak notes, spicy, fruity with dried, citrus fruits and molasses is vegetal, earthy, floral. Eine guter Standard Foursquare mit 16 Jahren und über 60 %. Nase: tropische Früchte mit Maracuja und natürlich Kokos. Dazu ordentlich Karamell und Brioche. Vanille fehlt auch nicht. Der Alkohol ist spürbar, ist aber solange nicht unangenehm stechend, wie man nicht die Nase zu tief ins Glas steckt. Mit der Zeit kommt das Eichenfass durch. Hinten heraus leicht Heu und Kräuter. 8,2 Gaumen: würziger als die Nase, wieder Kokos und Maracuja, aber vorne geben Limettenschale und Bitterorange den Ton an, gefolgt von getrockneter Aprikose. Adstringent und bitter kommt er daher, leicht salzig-metallisch. Hinten heraus auch etwas Eukalyptus. 8,0

Very flavorful from the go. Always a fan of the Foursquare casks that Romdeluxe puts out. I find it has an amazing nose. Well integrated ABV, and I'm getting notes of dried fruits, coconut, dark chocolate and some woody sensation
