St. Nicholas Abbey 5 Years old Single Cask
Cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg lead here, with grapefruit and orange peel poking through and a thick, oily mouthfeel that carries a long finish. It reads sweet and fruity on the nose, then turns properly spicy on the palate. Made from cane honey at St. Nicholas Abbey and bottled at cask strength, it's a young Barbados rum with plenty of grip — one taster called it heavy on the spice from nose to finish.

How does St. Nicholas Abbey 5 Years old Single Cask taste?
Aggregated from 19 community reviews.
Spicy, oily young Barbados cask-strength sipper Well-liked young Barbadian: fruity, spice-forward and oily with a long finish. A few feel it's better as a sample than a full bottle, and one questioned the price.

Výrazná nasládlá vůně i chuť Barbarosu, v puse bych neřekl, že to má 60%, ale pak se přiljemně déle rozvine

08/10/2025: sample from filipsikula. Happy to be able to taste something from St. Nicholas Abbey for the first time. It's sweet/fruity on the nose and heavy on the spices on the palate. Not a bad rum but I don't need a full bottle.
Review by Rum Runner Labs - Will
Heavy on the spices! From nose to finish plenty of cinnamon, pepper, and nutmeg. Hints of dried fruit and toasted sugar join on the nose, along with leather and a suggestion of grapefruit on the palate. Strong finish returning to theme: cinnamon, nutmeg.
