Aroma visualization from community tastings
TCRL Panamá Province Panama 2011
Sip it neat and you get a mellow, creamy Panama column-still rum: caramel, vanilla, a little banana and a nutty touch, with light oak spice arriving on the finish. Several tasters found it easy and pleasant but a bit thin and short on complexity. A couple wished for more proof. Drier than many Panamanians, so not the syrupy-sweet style some expect.

In the tradition of the TCRL australia, more rounded

I had higher hopes for this one. Given the age, I expected smoother. It was OK, with the slightest oak flavor. Mixing did not improve it.

For my sensation, a rather dry representative from Panama. That is good, but unfortunately lacks complexity. Probably a few percent more would do him good.

Sweet nose but with a somewhat artificial alcohol note. Appley and sweet on the palate. A little watery and for me not as cardboardy sweet as usual with Panama. Interesting but nothing outstanding.

You probably get what you pay for. A sweet and fruity rum with some light roasted wood and a nutty touch.

I’m enjoying this one far more than I was expecting. It has a nice, mellow creaminess overall, some fruity undertones, and oak spices that pop up towards the finish. While not super complex, it’s quite approachable and easy drinking. I just wish I could see what some extra proof points could do for this.
