Romdeluxe Limited Batch Series GHANA ARC 2020
Only seven months in wood, yet tasters keep saying it drinks "matured beyond its age." Expect red fruits and cherry on the nose, then a wild turn: esters, glue, salty licorice, young oak and spicy heat. One member says Ghana rum tastes like plum brandy; several compare it to Mhoba. Divisive, terroir-driven, and at 60.3% not shy.
The community says- Great red-fruit nose
- Unusual terroir
- Young oak

How does Romdeluxe Limited Batch Series GHANA ARC 2020 taste?
Aggregated from 43 community reviews.
Wild, high-ester Ghana with red fruit and glue Loved by fans of wild, high-ester rum for its red fruit, salty licorice and glue-funk. A few found the young oak or raw alcohol too much. Genuinely unusual.

Ghana rum taste like slivovitz all the time (plum distilate)

Great nose. Red fruits. Strawberry. Flowers. Tast is very different: salty licorice. Earthy some mustiness. More red fruits. Less floral. The salt is very out there. Savory. Matured beyond its age. One to look out for. Great pick by RdL.

Reminds me of MHOBA. Exciting!

Surprisingly neat and enjoyable. Maybe barrel is a bit too much influent but in the end this is a really balanced product

Crazy Rocket Fuel. Red fruit jelly with cinnamon and glue also meets nut nougat cookies, white chocolate and neat funkyness and ester. Then in the finish reminiscent of hubbabubba and astringent to it some sour pineapple. Reminiscent of mhoba! Super crazy but somehow also delicious and extraordinary! Am curious what is still to be expected here from Ghana ...

Très agréable, le côté chêne américain neuf, la gourmandise, le rend facile à boire.

Interesting rum! The storage one tastes blind not really out; one thinks rather of a white rum. Yeast, fruit, ester in a good combination.

I usually don't really like young and wild rums but this one is among the top I have tasted. And unusual terroir as well.

Fruits rouges, vanille au nez. En bouche, des esters surprenants, le bois jeune bien present, colle et épices piquantes. Pas emballé par ce rhum au profil pourtant étonnant. Je trouve l'alcool trop présent.
