1731 Fine & Rare Travellers Belize

Twelve years in cask and it still keeps its fruit — that's the surprise here. Pineapple and coconut sit alongside vanilla, oak and a touch of dark chocolate, with a light grassy-floral edge. Several tasters call it "süffig" (easy-drinking) and fairly priced, though a few find the body a bit thin and the aroma quick to fade. An honest everyday Belize.

Very nice Belize rum. Especially pleasant the quite fruity notes that are often lost in older Belize Rums. Am there actually fan of.

On The Rocks: On the nose fruit and floral notes with mild alcohol undertones. Taste is a strong fruit and burn with alcohol notes. Finish is medium with the fruit and spices continuing to slowly fade away. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose it smells like a dusty old warehouse. Taste is very smooth and enjoyable with mild dust and fruit fading out slowly. This is equally enjoyable mixed or on the rocks.

similarly tasty as the 1731 Belize 7y but logically much more wood and for me personally a little less character. those who like it drier and woodier will get their money's worth here. nevertheless, the characteristic pineapple/coconut/toffee note is present and overall a very drinkable Belize with an absolutely fair price performance! Unfortunately, in my opinion, it is also a little thin and quickly loses its aroma...

A bit thin, could have more character, but overall a good, drinkable rum with the typical coconut note.

Schönes fruchtiges Profil wo ich persönlich vor allem Ananas heraus rieche. Im Mund ein bisschen dünn leider aber für den Einstieg nicht schlecht. Süffig ist er auf jeden Fall.

This is a pretty good rum considering the price tag. The nose is well mixed between caramel, oak, marzipan, nuts and coffee as well as light notes of grass and flowers. The palate is fruity with oak, caramel, chokolade and vanilla and there is a light herbal note as well. The finish is medium long and and sweet with caramel, mint and a light roasted note.
