The Island Rum Company Paraíso Black Tears (Black Label)
Coffee runs the whole show here — roasted beans, cappuccino, cocoa dusted on top, a little vanilla and a spiced-rum edge. One taster called it a "liquid mocha with alcohol," and that's about right. Built on 2-year Cuban column-still rum from Paraíso, it drinks more like a coffee liqueur than a traditional sipping rum. Best in cola or a cocktail rather than neat.

Fantastic Cuban rum. I tried this at a rum tasting event over zoom and it was incredible. This history of this rum is fascinating and very complex . Tasting notes had a dry start not tobacco, followed by chilli peppers and finishing with cacao ... I think Foursquare is a nicer spiced rum if you prefer sweeter but for dry lovers out there , this is the stuff

Smooth palate, sweet at first, quickly turning to spices. A touch of spiciness and alcohol present. Excellent to taste! This was the first quality Ron I was introduced to, and with it I realized that there is a lot to enjoy and learn about in the world of this complex drink.
