Very light, filigree Hampden at first. Incredibly drinkable. Towards the end then heavier and fuller-bodied. Very light mouthfeel, alcohol also super integrated. By far the best LROK I have ever drunk. The price is unfortunately on the level of the other Birds.

This is a lovely rum with a touch of wood and fruits from nose to finish. Slightly alcoholic straight out of the bottle but after resting for 15 minutes it settles very well. I detect a hint of nuts and marzipan. Hard to find but very good quality.

Hampden! Was soll ich nur schreiben, eas man noch nicht gelesen hat? Natürlich hat auch dieser sehr viele tropische Früchte zu bieten, natürlich klar, Banane und Ananas natürlich, aber auch Ester und Klebstoff sind erkennbar.

Toller LROK der ganz leicht startet und mit der Zeit vollmundiger wird. Neben den typischen Hampden-Aromen findet man Mirabelle und erstaunlich stark ausgeprägte buttrige Noten. Man muss dem Rum nach dem Öffnen etwas Ruhe geben, da er anfangs sehr alkoholisch ist. Nach 15 Minuten bessert es sich aber drastisch.

Nachdem ich nun schon einige Birds im Glas hatte, komme ich für mich zu dem Schluss, daß diese das Geld nicht wirklich wert sind. Würde sagen diese Abfüllung ist o.k. und solide, aber nichts was mich bewegen würde eine Flasche zu kaufen.

Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden. Fruchtig, Marzipan, angenehme Säure, leichte Süße die mich an helle Weintrauben erinnert. Das ist schon gut ausbalanciert und einfach ein toller LROK. Leider zu absurden Preisen.

Ein recht guter LROK bei dem am Gaumen und im Abgang der holzige Anteil überwiegt. LROK ist zwar nicht mein bevorzugtes Mark bei Hampden, aber dieser weiß durchaus zu überzeugen. Jedoch ist das PLV hier nicht im Einklang

Tropische Früchte, Karamell und Kaugummi, dazu viel reife Exotik. Die Ester und das Alter greifen gut ineinander. Eine easy Gesamtkombo mit gut eingebundenem Alkohol. Ein gelungener Low-Ester-Rum, angenehm zu trinken, mit tropischer Reife par excellence. Der Abgang ist lang, lecker und schön ölig-klebend.

Die Nase schöne estrige Hampden Noten. Durchaus mit Bananen und etwas Pflaumen. Am Gaumen ein würdiger Hampden mit einer gewissen Würze . Gefällt mir ganz gut, da auch im Abgang einiges stehen bleibt.

Very alcoholic at first, but once you let this rum sit in the glass for about 15 minutes this rum really opens up. On the nose: Mild ester and glue notes, woody, fruity, buttery notes. Outside of typical Jamaican rum notes i get plum notes and hints of baking spices. Balanced. Taste: Butter and honey notes at first and then you get more acidic, estery pineapple and banana notes. Maybe marzipan notes at the back towards the end. The abv is present and could be slightly more better integrated . Finish: Warm and fruity at first. Then you get light woody and spicy notes. Finishes dry with hints of fruity notes. I dont have much tasting experience on LROK-mark rums, but this one was really good. However, as a pro tip, try it before you buy because its not really worth of the price in my opinion

What a delicious LROK! Upon opening, you can still smell the sharpness, but after a few minutes, it gradually becomes calmer and sweeter on the nose. A wonderful fruity, sweet aroma. Dried banana and pineapple. A touch of young, light oak also emerges. Very smooth on the palate at first, and then it really takes off! Wonderfully strong, it develops with lovely fruity notes and a typical hampden bite, yet still light. A fruity rum with a bite. I love it.
