HSE Single Cask (MEB 2020) 2003
Dried apricot and cherry lead the way here, wrapped in vanilla, cinnamon and a light oak backbone. What surprised several tasters is how fruity the nose is for an agricole — one Danish member called it extremely fruity. The palate turns drier and grassier, classic agricole territory, with a faint salty edge. A well-aged Martinique cane-juice rum for people who already know the style.

How does HSE Single Cask (MEB 2020) 2003 taste?
Aggregated from 26 community reviews.
Fruity-nosed, dry, grassy aged agricole Loved by agricole fans for its unusually fruity nose and dried-fruit palate. The catch: at 47.8% a few found the alcohol a touch too present, and it turns quite dry and grassy.

Third tasting: score remains constant, on the palate nice fruity notes (cherry and plum)Second tasting: today seems to me the nose with sweet and floral notes, very nice ( 2)!Solid Agricole rum but no surprise. On the palate quite alcoholic despite only just under 48% and slightly bitter but not unpleasant.Finish only medium length and strongly on the toasty side.

The big surprise with this rum was how fruity it was on the nose. For an Agricole I'd say extremely fruity. Overall a well balanced Agricole that is easy drinkable with and overall nice profile.

Leckere Nase: Kirschwähe, Zimt, Vanille, ganz leicht Salzig Gaumen: süsse, schwarze Kirschen, Muskatnuss, leicht Salzig, Alkohol ok eingebunden aber für 47.8% trotzdem leider etwas zu präsent für mich.
Review by Thunderbird
Rarely experienced such a wonderful fruity nose in an Agricole! The palate is clearly dried fruit and herbaceous grassy! He comes along pleasantly light, the finish is then typical Agricole grassy and herbal
