Relatively clean for a Caroni. Very easy to drink. Nice malty aromas. Intense, full flavor. Could have been a bit more full-bodied for the price, but which Caroni is still cheap these days? Definitely an experience.

Relatively light and relaxed "easy sipping" caroni. Alcohol well integrated and unusually little woody and tasty for the age, sherry finish is definitely very concise but not too dominant.

Strange Caroni. Tastes like aged neutral alcohol with a sherry finish. Somehow it has nothing to do with Caroni. I would be very interested in the story behind this vintage...

This sample is a bit like a trip to the city. You're super lucky to score that Caroni girl that all the boys want. You bring her home and hope she's wild in bed, only to be disappointed because she's not. It's the same with this one, it tastes good but there's not much wildness about it. It's more the Caroni name that's wild.

#4759 22.06.2024 Nice tasting afternoon and evening with Hannes at the shop in Odense. Nose Light, light wood, faint caramel, spice, dried fruit, floral, light chocolate. Palate Light, oily, light wood, light chocolate, dried fruit, faint mint, light floral, light medicinal. Finish Medium long, light wood, light cherry, dried fruit, light medicinal, faint chocolate. This is a very light Caroni without the traditional Caroni notes. Not bad but not a Ding Ding version either.

... Caroni je destilerie z Trinidadu, produkujici v dobe sve nejvetsi slavy rum, ktery se pridaval v pomeru 1:10 do namornickeho blendu. Byl totiz moc vyrazny a divny nez aby byl prijemny na jazyku. V roce 2000 destilerka skoncila s produkci a byla uzavrena. Az v roce 2010 se objevili degustatori, kteri si rum oblibili prave pro jeho specialni chut. A zajem rostl. Caroni patri do kategorie rumu "you need to try before you die". Doporucuji, Caroni je opravdu unikatni rum.
