I really enjoyed this and absolutely have no understanding for the low reviews. I thought it was absolutely delightful for its high alcohol and young age, a bomb of flavour. Had a sample, immediately bought a bottle.

I have been procrastinating on this review far too long. Color: apple juice Nose: more flowery than fruity, like that dried flower bouquet your grandma used to have, incl. that note of hay and dust. a hint of apricot as well. very slight perfume-y notes Taste: somehow less varied than the nose, more on peach schnaps. goes down with a slight burn. Finish: not too long, not spectacular. something lactic like yoghurt pops up. As much as I fell in love with it's home (who wouldn't), this doesn't cut it. The distillery is charming and worth a visit if you happen to pass by (right besides the main road). I wanted this to be better, but it's only a high average. The destination is a solid 10, though.

A complex and well balanced rum in my mind, especially when thinking about the age. Very fruity with spices and herbal/minty/floral notes to balance it all. A bottle already gone from most shelves, but definitely worth a buy if you find it. Price to quality is very good.

Very disappointed with this Velier! Frankly, it's like drinking bad medicine and chewing rubber. Astringent to the max, I won't finish this 3cl split. One of the first rums in my little experience to disappoint me to this extent, not enjoying the moment at all.

A fairly transparent rum. The nose is light on young tropical fruits. The palate matches the nose with more floral and medicinal notes. The finish is short.

Unlike anything I've had before. A bit tequila/mezcal-esque. Dry. Crisp. Pretty clean spirit. Needs wood to make it more interesting. Not bad but not great either.

Crass what a few % more and 3y in the barrel compared to the takamaka White make. As if one would mix mate / herbal tea with peach black tea, plus some cinnamon, clove and spice / fruit bread, neat wood, discreetly again mate and lemon verbena. Very exciting

On the nose at the beginning herbaceous-earthy, almost something unpleasant towards wet jute bag. After some standing time, then much fruitier, with watermelon and peach, and also a bit floral. In the background comes confectionery and young wood. On the palate, peach and herbal freshness. The finish is rather short. In diplomatic parlance, one would probably say an 'interesting' rum.

Sweet juice, with lots of lemon and orange peal. Like sweet-citric cocktail on nose. Banana. Pineapple. Young. Гогль-могль! с сахаром. (Нос) Palate: young. sweet chawing gum, again fresh tropical fruits. To be honest expectations was higher. With water comes out more vanilla, plombir ice cream.

The aroma is earthy and rather bland. The taste tastes of penicillin and that strange artificial taste of something. The alcohol is pleasantly integrated throughout, and comes across strongly on the finish, but only a little past the mouth. In the mouth, the gum remains.

Verhaltene Nase, die am Gaumen durch ein ziemliches Feuerwerk abgelöst wird - allerdings bezogen auf die würzige Schärfe, weniger auf aromatische Komplexität. Der Alkohol ist dabei zwar erkennbar, primär entstammt die Schärfe m.E. aber aus einer pfeffrigen Würznote, eine deutliche Röstaromatik sowie Holzanklängen. Guter Rum, der mir aber zu feurig daherkommt und Abstriche bei den Frucht- und Süssnoten verzeichnen muss.

Au nez notes fraîches mentholées et de Vanille ainsi qu’un peu d’orange confite mais ça n’est pas très expressif. Assez discrèt. En bouche c’est très piquant et chaud, les notes fraîches de menthol brule un peu le palais mais laisse une belle sensation fraîche en bouche. Peut être un peu de clous e girofle en finale. Il ne se passe pas grand chose de plus c’est un interressant mais cher pour le plaisir apporté.
