TRC Hampden Jamaica C<>H 1990
Poured neat in a tasting glass — this is not a mixer. The nose hits with glue and ester first, then a sweet fruit basket of banana, pineapple and green apple, with light wood and a touch of smoke behind it. The palate turns sourer than the nose promises, and one taster notes the banana lingers "laaaaaaange" on a long, anise-heavy finish. A serious 26-year Hampden C<>H at cask strength.

In der Nase nehmen wir die typische Ester-Klebstoffnote mit leichter Säure als erstes war, anschließend darunter ein sehr süßer Obstkorb mit Banane, Ananas, grüner Apfel und Zitrusfrüchten. Holz, etwas Rauch und eine leichte Erdigkeit runden die Nase ab. Die Ester aus der Nase sind am Gaumen als erstes bemerkbar, allerdings einiges saurer als die Nase es vermuten lässt. Die komplette Nase ist am Gaumen wieder zu finden und wird im Abgang stark anislastig. Er ist um einiges kräftiger und vorallem runder und reifer als der Duncan Taylor. Einigen von uns schon eine kleine Spur zu rund. Nichtsdestotrotz ein Meisterwerk an Rum. 93 Punkte

I am incredibly grateful to be able to drink this sample. Thank you @ Saibot Ztar. I was hoping the 94 would drop and it would beat the Nobilis 93. But alas, on both the palate and the nose, it's not enough. 92 is still legendary...but I expected even more. In direct comparison with the TRC30 for me on par.

02.04.2020 Had a nice tasting with my friends at a very nice hotel. Notes. Light in colour. Nose: Intense, light wood, banana, fruity, glue, ester. Palate: fresh, light wood, ester, pineapple, medium dry. Fibish: long and warm, fresh, medium dry, roasted wood, banana.
