Bacardi Reserva Superior
Sipped neat, this old Bacardi 8 reads sweet and thin, with vanilla, caramel and a sugared-apricot note over young, worn-out bourbon oak. There's a metallic, slightly synthetic edge and more alcohol than the 8 years suggest. Several tasters found the sweetness "somewhat overpowering" and the body watery — a daiquiri turns it "booooring" but drinkable, with the vanilla coming through hard.

How does Bacardi Reserva Superior taste?
Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Sweet, thin, vanilla-heavy and simple Most found it sweet, thin and simple — pleasant vanilla and dried apricot, but little depth and an alcoholic, faintly artificial edge. Nice enough, not much going on.

5,6:On the nose, the first impression we get is sweet, a bit alcoholic with yellow fruits, dried apricots, there are metallic notes, the wood is roasted and spicy with vanilla, clearly bourbon ageing..m 5,8:On the palate, the attack is sweet and alcoholic, diluted, with the same notes as on the nose-bourbon touch... 5,5:The finish is medium long, a bit synthetic with sweet notes, fruity, woody, spicy..

The liquid History of Puerto Rico - vielen Dank an Artur für die Teilung!

Rum No. 14 Interessante alte Bacardi Abfüllung, nicht mein Geschmack. 😊

Muffig, etwas gelagert.

Again an at the time incredibly expensive rum. some nut to the standard, worn out bourbon cask. Meh to the max. Finishes like it started. Daiquiri: Booooring, but ok, the vanilla is extremely poignant. 2/5 Stars
