Aroma visualization from community tastings
La Favorite Millésime 2010
Grassy sugarcane and hay up front, then a spicy, dry turn: cinnamon, pepper, ginger, dried apple and plum over sandalwood and oak. The nose wins most people over — several call it the best part — while the palate runs drier and more tannic. A cane-juice Martinique rhum at 52.8%, aged nearly nine years, that leans woody-spicy rather than fruity-sweet.

Aggregated from 39 community reviews.
Grassy, dry agricole with spicy oak finish Well-liked for a lovely agricole nose and firm, spicy body, though a few feel the palate doesn't match the aroma and note a dry, slightly bitter finish.

I don't have a La Favorite in my glass every day. A special experience, if you like. However, this Agricole does not stand out. Not very complex, deliciously fresh, tastes a bit like sugar cane water with the scent of roses, coated in grass, hay and wood notes. A spiciness constantly resonates.

Very close to the previous year and equally tasty.

Trockener leicht bitterer Nachgeschmack. Fazit: Lecker, aber nichts für Anfänger. 87 Punkte
