A very nice interpretation of a Hampden, I would have loved a bit more kick to it. Fruity as expected with some vanilla and wood on the palate. The ABV makes it nice and warm but something is missing. In my mind it has been tamed too much.

Vraiment impressionnant en terme de goût.. J'avais l'impression de goûter un monymusk et non un hampden.. C'est très différent des hampden à haut voltage traditionnel que nous avons l'habitude de goûter.. Ça manque un peu de punch je trouve.. Un goût de caramel et de boisé assez présent..

This series is more shelf stable than top rums for me, but it's still a very enjoyable Jamaica. Citrus notes masked by that odd bitterness for me. The high ABV is beautifully integrated, but it's missing something.

Dank Johannes war es möglich diesen kleinen Birds Flight zu machen. Im Rennen waren 2xOWH, 5xLFCH (darunter den HV LFCH gemischt) und 2xLROK. Als Fazit meiner Seits, ab LROK machen sie mehr Spaß, die Low Ester Fraktion geht schon. Meiner Meinung nach, sind die Birds das Geld nicht wert, sondern eher ein Sammelobjekt. Große Unterschiede sind für mich nicht wirklich zu erkennen.
