CDI Diamond Guyana Sherry Cask 2007
Most tasters were pleasantly surprised — the sherry cask flavors the rum without burying the Guyana underneath. Dried fruit, raisins, dates and figs lead, with dark chocolate, baked apple, coconut and a dusting of nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish turns dry and tannic, long and clean. At 57% it runs sharp and a touch hot; a couple of drops of water help.

How does CDI Diamond Guyana Sherry Cask 2007 taste?
Aggregated from 27 community reviews.
Sherried Demerara, dried-fruit heavy and dry The recurring verdict: a rare CDI win where the sherry finish stays well integrated rather than drowning the Demerara. Most call it complex and rounded, if slightly hot.

Tasting 19/4-24 Peters Vin. Nose: A lot is going on. Dried fruits and the sherry finish is very clear. Taste: Lots of dried fruits, raisins, dates, figs. And the sherry finish is very well integrated . Finish: Some driness, long and very delicious. The best rum of the evening..

The nose is clearly dominated by sherry alongside spicy fruit. Therefore slightly sulphurous, dried apricot, some grape. Mr. sour of green apple or pear. Only wood and smoke come through. On the palate, the sherry cask unfortunately overpowers the Guyana. The fruit moves a little more towards cherry. What remains is nutmeg spice, some wood and ... sherry. Not bad, but a little arbitrary.

Wow, finally another positive surprise from CDI. Great nose, the sherry ageing doesn't drown out the rum. A fabulous blend.

I am once again pleasantly surprised by CDI! The sherry finish is clearly present, but does not overpower the rum and is well integrated. It's fun!

For once, no finish that overpowers everything, but unfortunately still not really good. Very sharp in the mouth, quite alcoholic and above all dark aromas (rusty, dried fruit and wood) do not bring a taste that convinces me.

Very nice sample, really sweet, but nothing artificial. Sherry and raisins
