On the nose, a blend combining just the right amount of fruitiness (banana-tropical fruit) and rather expressive aromas (funky). I find it more vegetal than the basic Sample Eleven. On the palate, it's a blend with Jamaican-style notes of overripe fruit, lemon, molasses and a little funk. Gentle spices, a blend that's not (too) sweet and damn complex. Good length on wood and vanilla. The quality/price ratio is really good. My impression of the 1st edition was more on the sweet side, but here I'm surprised by its beautiful length.

Very different than the sample eleven. Def picked up the dry agricole grassy style from the Bellevue-damoiseau. Good abv% too.
