Absolut erstklassige Nase mit viel Frucht wie Datteln, Pflaumen und Cranberries. Karamell im Hintergrund. Im Mund ist er wie eine Mischung aus Kolumbien, El Salvador und Venezuela. Der Sherry bildet sich schön heraus und bringt Würze sowie eine leichte Holzigkeit. Dazu kommt eine interessante Mokka bzw. Kaffeenote. Der Abgang ist mittellang, weich und klingt mit holziger Würze, Leder und Karamell aus. Preisleistung ist wirklich in Ordnung.

Der Geruch ist wirklich beeindruckend. Rund, weich, süß, Dattel und einfach angenehm. Gemacklich dann aber überraschend weniger komplex als die Nase verspricht. Dennoch sehr lecker, nicht zu süß, wenig spritig. Quelle: expert24 Pichincha ist ein Berg in Quito, der Hauptstadt von Ecuador. Dieser Rum ist eine Hommage an den Berg in Ecuador. Der Rum reift 15 Jahre lang im Eichenfass und erhält sein Finish im Palo Cortado Sherry Fass. Der Berg ziert das Etikett der Flasche. Destilliert: 1996 Abgefüllt: 2011
