CDI Travellers Belize 2007
Most tasters land in the same place: this is a dark, spicy Belize that turns more interesting on the palate than on the nose. Expect gingerbread, roasted notes, chocolate and burnt sugar, with a pepper kick and a light tart cassis-and-dark-chocolate edge on the finish. At 62.1% the alcohol sits surprisingly well integrated. One reviewer even called it Botucal "on steroids (and without sugar)."

How does CDI Travellers Belize 2007 taste?
Aggregated from 23 community reviews.
Dark, peppery cask-strength Belize, dry and spicy Well-liked as a dark, peppery, food-cake kind of Belize with the strength cleanly tucked in. A couple of tasters felt something was just slightly missing, but most called it delicious.

Since I started working for Compagnie des Indes, this is by far the biggest slap in the face I've ever taken!

Richtig lecker, Kaufempfehlung!

A see exciting, clearly complex and more intense Belize or as a friend says "tastier" than other representatives from Belize! geil!beautiful Eigensüße, abgefahrene Florale note like elder (?!) and in addition all these overcooked fruits and spices like fruit bread with a subtle freshness and toastiness, very very cool...🤤😍🇧🇿what's really freaky is the slight bitter and fresh acidity in the finish, bit like cassis and dark chocolate.... really good!

12.03.2021 Happy tasting at a bygone bar. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Intense, wood, roasted, light caramel, apple, light nutts, faint chocolate. Palate Medium intense, warm, wood, light roasted, light coconut, spice, nutts, light caramel, dried fruit. Finish Medium to long, round, warm, fruits, spice, light nutts, coconut.

The few extra years have done the Belize really well. Great rum!

Another Belize... also kind of good, tasty, a very dark, spicy flavor. But again, I'm missing something without being able to put my finger on it. Maybe Belize is not my country? Still, a good bottling, which for me has something of Botucal on steroids (and without sugar).
