Neisson Profil 107 Bio
Barely 14 months in wood, yet this Neisson reads like a spiced holiday bake — melted butter, brioche, mango and lime over fresh sugarcane. New oak leaves a fine, dry, slightly astringent edge and the finish runs a touch short and sharp. Several tasters rate it well above the classic 107, calling it one of the better young Martinique agricoles around. The 53.8% sits well integrated.

Ein leckerer Neisson, dem man sein Alter in seiner Ungestümtheit anmerkt. Zuckerrohr und Blumigkeit von der Nase bis zum Abgang, dazu fruchtig, junges Holz, Gras, cremig buttrig am Gaumen. Der Abgang ist etwas kurz und scharf.

#5033 07.01.2025 Enjoying some samples at home. Nose Light wood, sweet, faint roasted, light plum, light grass, honey. Palate Oily, wood, honey, light plum, orange, sweet, Agricole, light roasted, light apple. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, sweet, oily, light pineapple, sugarcane. The empty glass has light nutts, coconut and faint chocolate. ABV is very well integrated.

Smell I like better than 105 with a particular note of yogurt (or nougat?), but very dry and sharp drinking experience. Compared to other Martinique rums (Depaz, HSE...) Neisson is characterized by more vegetal and fresh sugar cane notes.

This Profil 107 Bio is a clear improvement over the classic 107. The aromas on the nose are much more varied and complex, mixing dried fruits, citrus, sugar cane and caramel with vegetal and floral aromas in ambush. On the palate, the fine and delicate woodiness accompanies the tobacco and spices to give a delicious and balanced blend. The finish recalls the same greediness present in the mouth. A real treat.

The nose is woody (the new Profil 107 barrel did the job). We find spicy chocolate with a touch of vanilla and a hint of fruitiness (tropical fruits: papayas - figs). The nose is balanced but not ultra greedy, pulling on the freshness. In mouth, the attack is very soft. Dried fruits appear, as well as vanilla and fine/delicate woody notes. The finish is dry on tobacco with a slight lack of length (but it's normal, it's only an ESB). It's well balanced, but lacks a bit of sweetness. Conclusions: it is a beautiful product, we are clearly in the top of the basket of the ESB in agriculture. It is a worthy representative of the Martinique terroir by its mastered balance. It misses only a little more greediness to make it top. I really liked this BIO version compared to the classic one.

Toller Bio-Rum aus Blue Cane. Feine holzig, kräutrige Noten in der Nase mit Anklängen von Schokolade. Am Gaumen weich, zunächst holzig-kräutrige Zuckerrohrnoten. Dann auch schokolasig. Der überzeugte sogar meine Frau von Rum (endlich! ;)) - ihre erste Flasche!

La bouteille est magnifique, juste ce qu'il faut pour donner l'eau à la bouche. Aspect : Jolie couleur dorée. Au nez, ce profil sent la mangue, le citron vert et la levure de boulanger, la brioche ou le pain frais (note qu'on retrouve dans certains whiskys écossais) En bouche, l'alcool est tres bien équilibré, releve un peu les papilles pour le côté légèrement astringeant mais pas désagréable au contraire, c'est un rhum de caractère. On retrouve la mangue et le citron vert, mais aussi d'autres agrumes comme la mandarine. Parfums encore présents d'excellents rhums blancs, de canne fraiche, et de bois qui se melent ensemble avec des fruits frais exotiques, un vrai rhum arrangé à lui seul ! Belle longueur qui tend sur des notes de bananes et bananes flambées. C'est un rhum jeune, qu'on peut qualifier d'ambré, mais probablement le meilleur de ce "segment"

Un nez est incroyable sur le beurre pratiquement un sablé breton ! Pour le reste de la dégustation ça reste jeune je ne suis pas très élevé sous bois, ça reste une super expérience olfactive et permet de constater l’influence du bois et profil de chauffe !

Tenhle skvělý agri kousek na první pohled tak nevypadá, ale vlastně je to typický vánoční rum - spojuje v sobě totiž věci, bez kterých by nám Vánoce vůbec nechutnaly - rum, vanilku, koření, máslo a sladké pečivo
