Chairman‘s Reserve Spiced
Sip it neat or drop it over ice and you get cinnamon up front, orange peel, cloves and a little anise — one taster called it "very Christmasy," and several agree it drinks like the holidays in a glass. Built on decent St. Lucia rum, so it's less artificial than most spiced bottles. On the sweet side, though not as cloying as some. Also works fine in cola.

A chairman, we always a very tasty rum, although it is the spices. Smells spicy, like cinnamon and cloves and has exactly this taste. Once again a top rum from St. LUCIA Distillers. Delicious.

This is my first spiced rum so it's hard to know how good it really is, definitely different to the normal aged rums that I sip. On the nose there's lots of orange peel, cinnamon, cloves, it smells quite inviting. The taste reminded me of Fireball, lots of cinnamon, very slight burn then the other spices and a decent finish with some more orange notes in there. I've read that a lot of spiced rums taste very artificial and vanilla forward so I guess that makes this a good one. Not really my thing, I'll stick to the aged rum for sipping but nice to have a try while on holiday in the sun.
