Expect oak, coconut and dried fruit with a floral-fruity nose, plus a faint hint of funk and lavender. Several tasters were surprised to like an El Salvador rum this much. Trotz hohem ABV recht mild in der Nase. Blumig-fruchtig mit einem Potpourri an tropischen Früchten und reifer, mehliger Banane sowie Duft-Pfirsich. Leicht seifig mit einem Hauch Lavendel. Hinten frische Kamille. Am Gaumen hat er einen kräftigen Antritt. Adstringent und bitter aber gleichzeitig auch lieblich. Wieder blumig-fruchtig. Traube mit dicker Schale. Dazu Gewürznelke und Kardamom. Hat auch was metallisches, Kupfer. Am Ende Pflanzlich Richtung Sesam mit Veilchen. Überraschend gut. ABV super eingebunden.

04.05.2024 Retasting during a nice exclusive tasting at Romdeluxe. I stick to my score and I still love it. -------------------------- This is a wonderful rum with a limited to 265 bottles. The destillery is listed as "secret" but the taste is definitely El Salvador. The proof has been so well integrated, that you don't really need to add water to this one. Fruity with spice and a nice hint of oak all the way from the nose to the finish. There is a hint of the bourbon cask as well. Price to quality is very good.

I've never had an El Salvador before. For my taste, it goes in the direction of Spanish, in the direction of foursquare/Antigua.

Coconut, coconut, coconut. A lot of it. And it keeps going. That is the part that I like! There is some vanilla in scent, what I am not particularly fan of.
