La Favorite La Réserve du Château 2002
Grassy sugarcane, sour cherry and pear up front, with vanilla, herbal tea and pepper following through. Despite 18 years in the cask, several tasters swore it was a young agricole — fresh and green rather than heavily oaked. One member calls it "a very accessible Agricole," subtle and gentle. A few find the palate lighter than the promising nose, with a bit of oaky bitterness on the finish.

01.03.2025 retasting at Whiskymessen.dk ---------------- This is a very accessible Agricole and I think most Ca actually drink it. The Agricole flavours are very subtle. Lightly fruity with spices and some chocolate and toddee. I noticed that after a few hours the glass had a wonderful nose.

Nose: pear and sour cherry/port, rather unpleasant Palate: light on vanilla and a herbaceous profile Finish: mentholated pepper, but not long enough for a rum of this caliber This 2002-2020 château reserve is rather disappointing. Not a very appealing nose, too light on the palate and not enough length on the finish. Given its price, it's frustrating.

Le premier nez est très marqué par le bois et ce que je pense être de la colle. Puis un peu de vanille, une canne légère, des agrumes. Peut-être une poire douce. Un peu décevant en bouche, le bois amène un forte amertume suivie par plus de douceur et de notes végétales. Puis du poivre et de nouveau le bois. Belle longueur mais bouche qui me laisse un goût d'inachevé.

Blindtasting 01.02.2024, 3. Rum Nase: sehr angenehm, warm, Kirsche, mild, tief - ein Agricole? Gaumen: grasig, leicht, fällt gegenüber dem guten Eindruck in der Nase etwas ab Auflösung: Immerhin richtig, Agricole. Gibt aber deutlich bessere. Johannes hatte hier bei der Blindverkostung sogar auf La Favorite getippt, was angesichts der schier unübersehbaren Auswahl an Agricoles schon sehr bemerkenswert ist.

Good nose, good palate. Relatively sweet, but you can't taste it. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. A really tasty rum with a slight vanilla note. That's it, love it or hate it :) I love it.

I'm a fan of La Favorite but the quality is not there. It's good but the quality-price ratio is not.

Ich bekam Ihn bei einem Blind Tasting serviert und hätte auf einen jungen Agricole getippt. Sowohl an der Nase als auch am Gaumen wirkt er sehr frisch und grasig. Was eigentlich eher jüngere Agricoles aufweisen. Eine leichte süße und würzige Noten waren auch sehr präsent.

Tag 19 Sample de Luxe Kalender: sehr leckerer Agricole. Vorallem die Nase weiß zu überzeugen. Nase sehr fruchtig was im Mund verloren geht. Trotzdem auch im Mund klassische Kräutertee Noten inkl. Ordentlich Gewürz und Holz. Abgang bleibt leich peffrig und grasig

Un fond de bouteille ouvert il y a une semaine donc grosse oxydation mais courte: que du plaisir pour moi c’est avant tout des fruités des bois, la framboise notamment. Côté huileux très agréable en bouche, longue finale même si globalement un peu monotone, c’est très fin et agréable.

C’est la bouteille qui m’a fait découvrir la distillerie la favorite déguster lors d’une dégustation à mon entrée dans le monde du rhum. Ça a été un coup de cœur rapide pour moi qui m’a obligé à acheter la bouteille. Le nez est assez timide avec des notes de poire et de cerises. En second lieu, on retrouve le chocolat au lait avec quelques notes de thé, la bouche cheveux gourmande sans être asséchante. On retrouve ici quelques notes de fruits à coque de bois, et avec une finale sur la cerise amer. Produits qualitatifs de haute vol, peut-être trop consensuel et facile d’accès pour les amateurs de Rome, vieux agricoles. La note basse est sûrement dû au rapport qualité prix peut-être peu élevé.
