Cadenhead's Enmore KFM 1991
One taster called the nose a "pencil-bomb," and that captures it: this Enmore KFM is all old leather, varnished wood, licorice and prunes, with a thick, oily body. Even at just 12 years, several members were shocked by how heavy and deep it drinks. A dark, tannic Guyanese pot-still bruiser with a long finish and a faint fruity acidity keeping it lively.

First time I had a chance to try one of the young 91 KFMs. I‘m a bit shocked. Despite its young age this is very good and pure KFM essence of the vintage. While I expected this to be much lighter than its 30y+ brothers, all of the woodiness, bitterness and tannins are there. Yet a bit less extrem and with a bit more liveliness (dried fruits are great in this) making this an excellent age to be bottled. Very nice.

A rum tasted at the GRF in 2024. An incredibly deep, dark nose, old leather, old varnished wood, barrel. The palate entry is lively for such a dark nose, but with sweetness, and the same aromas are present with a light acidity that balances it all out. The finish is long, long, still on the old varnished wood and still with that little acidity without which this rum would be too dark. A GRF 2024 favorite.

A beastly good 1991 KFM ... it's amazing how cool it is despite its young age. This is now my favorite of this vintage - ahead of the older Bellamy's and Haubariria. If you can: definitely try it. Great stuff.

Great KFM. Pure treacle, lots of citrus notes, herbs and lead pencil only subtly. Aromatically extremely round and balanced, you hardly notice its "young" age. I would not have expected it! Thank you Daniel!

... Enmore - drive destilerka, nyni uz jen funkcni destilacni zarizeni. Patrne jedine drevene destilacni zarizeni na svete, ktere se tesi velke oblibe. Rumy Enmore totiz maji prichut popelu, kuze, tezkeho dreva, coz nadchne zejmena milovniky nakourenych whisky. A pokud tradicnim Guyanskym zpusobem prida vyrobce do rumu trochu melasy, mate v lahvi unikatni velmi vyrazny a tezky rum. Jeden z mych oblibenych.

Interesting to try a young KFM. I had expected more red fruit, but instead the barrel influence and lead pencil were already present with astonishing intensity. Amazingly heavy profile for the comparatively young age.

Tasted on the 13th GRF. At first I thought it was TDL because of the mint. A nice KFM that was much lighter than the KFM from Tamosi. More herbs and also the stick. I liked it very much, but in direct comparison I found the longer matured KFM better for me as it has more weight and depth. There are parallels but also big differences. Alcohol perfectly integrated.

Trade fair evaluation GRF 2024: Nose: Pencil bomb A huge explosion of aromas on the palate. Pencil, slightly dirty, slightly violet, thick and oily. Not really my cup of tea, but I still really like it.

Next to Rob's Long Pond 1983, this is the most perfect rum I've tasted at the 13th GRF. A true revelation for KFM lovers like me. I wouldn't have expected to be able to taste this rum again. Malt, prune, liquorice, wood - everything that makes a KFM a dream. 😍
