Corman Collins Saint James Rhum Saint James 2002
Most tasters land in the high 8s to low 9s here, and even people who usually shrug at Saint James call it the best one they've tried. The nose pulls people in — cocoa, spice, dried fruit, a bit of glue and resin — and the palate is warm, woody and rounded. One catch: the long aging tips it woody, and a few find the finish a touch bitter with lots of nutmeg.
The community says- Gorgeous complex nose
- Spice and cocoa depth

How does Corman Collins Saint James Rhum Saint James 2002 taste?
Aggregated from 78 community reviews.
Rich, woody old Martinique agricole A widely loved old agricole — gourmand, spicy, well-integrated oak and a long finish. The 17 years thin the grassy side, so wood-averse drinkers and a few find the end slightly bitter.

Review by Émile Shevek
On the nose roasted hazelnuts, chocolate, burnt sugar, spices, red fruits and some flowers. On the palate again roasted hazelnuts, wood, spices, red fruits and a touch of full-bodied vanilla and nougat sweetness to tie it all together, slightly peppery finish and in the aftertaste a grandiose hint of root/mold/earthy. Magical! In the empty glass roasted, earthy and woody. Thanks to Johannes for the opportunity!

Sensationell guter Agricole!
Review by TheRhumhoe

Review by RumTaTa

Très beau rhum, gourmand, rond, épicé, boisé. Une finale longue 👌 Un Saint-James unique.

Unmistakably Saint James profile. A great Agricole: wood, lots of spices, herbs, a certain sweetness and a loooong finish. The alcohol is very well integrated, the nose invites you to linger.

#4th dec RumXCalendar Blind tasting: Nose: spicy, woody, agricole, baking spices, sugarcane, earthy Palate: agricole, sugarcane, sweet, earthy, Finish: long, earthy, sweet, woody, a bit minty, This is a very good balanced remarkable agricole 🤤 My Prediction: Could be a very nice agricole from J. Bally 🤔 Approx. 45-50% Approx. 10 years of aging

RumXmas 2022 #4 I was a bit late to the party, so no blind tasting impressions. The nose was amazing from the start but it needed some time to open up tastewise. Not the biggest fan of St James so far, but this was the best one I’ve ever had in my glass. After a while the vegetal agricole profile that’s very present at the beginning, becomes part of something much more elegant with sweet fruity tones. Quite complex with a lot of stuff to discover.

game changer for me as far as aged agricole goes!
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Incredibly beautiful, slightly sweet, fruity and very well-balanced Agricole. Probably the benchmark for Saint James? Beautiful combination of vanilla, banana pulp, nutmeg and fresh oak with dried fruit. Really, really good. Just a little too much nutmeg & too bitter for me, otherwise it would be 90! 😅
