Sip it slowly after dinner — this drinks like liquid dessert. The nose is all white chocolate and toffee, and the palate follows with caramel, milk chocolate and brown sugar. One member nailed it as "Toffifee zum trinken" — candy in a glass. At 53% there's power behind the sweetness, but the 25-year Trinidad distillate all but disappears under the dosage.

Pappsüss. How high is the sugar content of this bottling? The original distillate is practically unrecognizable. Unfortunately far too sweet for me.

09.01.2019 Enjoying samples at home. Colour Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, sweet, light wood, vanilla, fruit cake, light chocolate, light caramel, faint nutts. Palate Sweet, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light nougat, light chocolate, faint caramel, faint tar, faint floral. Finish Short to medium, sweet, wood, light chocolate, spice, dried fruit, light nougat, faint mint.

The first whiff makes it clear: this is going to be sweet! Great associations of white chocolate and toffee immediately come to mind. Smells like an Italian dessert on vacation. As expected, the palate is very sweet with associations of chocolate and brown sugar. Very sweet - definitely a lot of help here. Not my cup of tea, but one of the best sweet rums I've tasted. So I can understand the hype. Anyone who likes sweet rums with power will get their money's worth here.

Toffifee zum trinken. Krass viel weiße Schokoladen Cookies mit Karamell chunks und Vanille. Flüssiges dessert. Sehr lecker aber mir persönlich deutlich zu süß. Wäre spannend den ohne zu dosage zu probieren....

Ein Top Vertreter der Süssrums, welche natürlich durch die Süssung an Komplexität verloren hat aber an Rundheit gewonnen. Viel Vanille, Schokolade, und warmes Holz findet man bei diesem Rum. Der Rum wurde 1988/1989 gebrannt, ist also ein Blend aus verschiedenen Fässern.
