J. Bally Millésime 2000
Surprising thing first: at just 43% this aged Martinique agricole packs way more punch than the number suggests — one taster called it "surprisingly flavor-intense." Expect wood, herbs and dried fruit up front, then pepper, licorice, a grassy-green streak and a menthol coolness that lingers. Dry and spicy on the palate, not sweet. A well-made, balanced vieux agricole that rewards a little attention.
The community says- Balanced, spicy nose
- Grassy herbal depth
- Alcohol slightly unintegrated

Dry, spicy aged agricole, grassy and herbal Well-liked, balanced aged agricole — dry, woody and very spicy with a grassy herbal core. Most call it a fine Bally; a couple wanted the alcohol better integrated.

Most helpful positive review
Beautiful, balanced nose. Wood, spice and dried fruit. Grassy and some menthol balance. The palate continues in a similar way, very spicy and powerful despite the 43%. A very well-crafted agricole. The profile is strongly reminiscent of Saint James.

Nice and peppery, with a hint of baked apple, followed by a dry and spicy woody taste, slightly sour and a hint of lavender and bitter cocoa.

With a medium to long finish this is also a very pleasant rum. Fruity with spices and honey sprinkled with some chocolate and nuts.
