Do caramelized cigars actually exist? This rum certainly goes in a direction that evokes this association for me - definitely an exceptional profile. What Cadenheads used to bottle from Guyana is simply outstanding in terms of quality and taste. The alcohol is perfectly integrated, but the age is clearly evident in the rather dry finish. A great rum.

What an experience! An incredibly complex rum. The nose is already a dream. On the palate there are lots of different notes of chocolate, tobacco, dried plums, coffee, barrel notes and so on. The whole is still wonderfully round, alcohol well integrated. Lingers on the tongue forever. A taste sensation!

Totaly integrated alcohol, even if it "stings" for a first taste. And then you feel wood-cask, caramel, little bit of leather. Full of taste, but not extra aromatic. -0,4 points are for the low explosion in mouth. Next -0,4 points are for low leather taste, that I would expect for Enmore. The rest is perfect

Enmore

Avg Rating 8.8/10 over 210 Rums

Enmore gave the world the last wooden Coffey still, built here around 1880 and still running at Diamond. It is also one of only two Guyanese estates where you can actually buy rum distilled while the place was open: 17 vintages between 1962 and its closure in April 1994. On most Demerara pages that sentence is not true.
