Bacardi Bacardi Black
The nose is the first surprise, and not a good one — several tasters call it sharp, almost rotten, with burnt sugar underneath. On the palate it softens into sweet molasses and treacle, but stays thin and hot at 37.5%. Most people here only reach for it to darken a rum and cola or top a cocktail, never to sip.

I like this rum a little better than a white Bacardi or Havana 3y, but of course it's nothing to enjoy neat. The smell is quite solid with molasses, smoke and some fruit. The added sweetness makes it drinkable, but always with an unpleasant alcoholic sharpness and very thin.

The smell is terrible, taste actually better then what I have expected. Not suitable for sole drinking (sipping). I have used that sometimes for topping on cocktails but generally I recommend to avoid it. If you would like to use dark rum for topping, use better rum.

Mit Rum angeschrieben, doch ob es sich wirklich um einen Rum handelt, das darf bezweifelt werden. Schlecht eingebunder Alkohol, sofortiger kurzer Abgang ohne irgendwelche Komplexität. Schlichtweg ein Produkt zum Vergessen und maximal zum Mixen brauchbar.

The aroma and flavor are extremely sweet. The flavor is not horrible but it is too sweet to sip or really mix into anything.

Oak and treacle. Potpourri, some harsh booze. Dark copper pour. Bitterish finish that cloys with a bit of oak. Reminds me of flat Cuba Libres. Raided from parents liquor cabinet.

Tasted 27-03-2016 This makes a ridiculously sweet rum and cola if your into that type . Sadly another waste of supermarket rum that gets pumped into the UK . Best left on the shelf next to the other supermarket failures
