Licorera Cihuatán Single Barrel (Switzerland)
Anyone curious about El Salvador rum, or bourbon drinkers dipping a toe in, will get the most out of this one. The nose is the highlight — wood, vanilla, almond and a little floral fruit. Then the palate turns watery for many tasters despite the 52.6%, with herbs, cinnamon and clove fading into a short finish. Pretty, but it doesn't quite land.

Very nice sample. Slightly medicinal nose with dried apricots and jodine. Off dry on the palate, then comes some acidity. Medium medicinal/metallic finish. Not my ideal sipper, but nice experience. Quality product.

Much better than expected, but somehow watered down and a very short finish. More for mixing. In summary, however, the opinion I had before about this rum has already been confirmed. Thanks to Tschusikowsky for the sample.

Schade
