LMDW Bielle 2001 LMDW

People who chase dry, wood-forward agricole will feel at home here. This 14-year Bielle from Marie-Galante leans oaky and roasted — mocha, licorice, leather and black tea, with dried apricot and a little fruit peeking through. At 54.6% the alcohol sits surprisingly well. One taster called it the driest, most tannic of the whole set; another said you can sit with the glass forever and keep finding notes.

The community says
  • Great alcohol integration
  • Mocha and licorice depth

Dry, tannic, wood-and-mocha aged agricole A dry, woody old agricole that most tasters rated highly for its balance and mocha-licorice depth. The one catch: it's the most tannic and bitter of the batch, so you have to like oak.
