Australia rarely shows up on tasting shelves, and this Beenleigh pot-still catches people off guard. Expect a lot of cask: charred wet wood, leather, dark red fruit like apricot and raisin, caramel and nuts, with a sweet-wine edge from the Beaumes de Venise finish. At 60.4% it's dense and syrupy, though a few tasters found the wood and heat pushed a bit far.
