Anam na h-Alba DDL Guyana Single Cask Rum
Opinions land all over the place on this one. Fans find a full, dark Guyana profile — raisins, dried plum, chocolate, coffee and burnt sugar over dusty old oak. Others get stuck on the bitterness and hot, not-quite-tamed alcohol from that 66.6% cask strength. One taster called it "ultra strange," in a good way. A heavy, oily, roasty Demerara that needs air and patience.

Lots of roasted aromas, spice and burnt wood on the nose. Raisins and cooked plums are added. Intense, quite bitter and full-bodied on the palate. Great combination of heavy molasses sweetness, Maggi associations and bitterness. Blurred orange comes to mind. Very atypical and special Guyana rum!

Ultra seltsamer Guyana Rum.
