Ferroni Worthy Park Brut de fut 2010

People already into Worthy Park will get the most out of this cask-strength Jamaican: a big banana nose several call the best WP they've hit, with vanilla, wood and leather behind it. At 66.2% the alcohol is oddly well-behaved, but the middle runs a touch one-note. Rye and bourbon cask work adds a grilled, licorice edge.

The community says
  • Huge banana nose
  • Heat well-integrated
  • But: Thin middle

Banana-heavy cask-strength Worthy Park with grilled edge Most see a very good Worthy Park: gorgeous banana nose, well-managed heat, grilled-leather finish. The common gripe is a thin, slightly monotone middle and, for one, too much pepper.

01.06.2019 Had a nice meet up at this Nordic Rum Fest where we brought some of our own bottles. Notes. Dark in colour. Nose: fresh, fruity, banana, overripe, light glue, light smoke. Palate: wood, light roasted, plum, dried fruit, light rubber, spice. Finish: light wood, coconut, light smoke, light rubber.

A beautifully rich nose, a spicy, powerful, fruity mouthfeel and a finish that softens on a pastry, gourmet and smoky side. The presence of the barrels (Rye Whisky / Bourbon) is well present and comes to mix with the WP aromas, all with elegance and balance. A very nice work !

Worthy Park

Avg Rating 8.0/10 over 360 Rums

Worthy Park is Jamaica's true cane-to-glass estate. Its land was granted in 1670, it runs the island's oldest and most efficient sugar factory, and it makes rum from molasses it produces itself. After falling silent in 1962, the distillery was rebuilt from scratch in 2005 and now bottles some of the most respected modern estate rum in the Caribbean.
