TBRC O Reizinho
Pepper, oak and a raisiny sherry note lead here, with dried apricot and vanilla underneath. This 3-year Madeira cane-juice pot still splits people: one taster loved the "new can of tennis balls" freshness and port-like richness, while others found it very woody, spicy on the tongue, and a touch short. Fun and different, not a deep thinker.

How does TBRC O Reizinho taste?
Aggregated from 31 community reviews.
Woody, peppery young Madeira agricole Most find it a pleasant, spicy, woody agricole with real Madeira character. The catch: several call it short on the finish and not one for every day.

Almost identical to the 52.1% from the original bottler. Horny shit.

Pretty good rum when looking at the price. Fruity and fresh with a floral note and medium finish. Would be OK for beginners as well I think. The empty glass has some herbs and licorice notes.

It’s an interesting Madeira Agricole. The nose a mix between glue and maple syrup, interesting but not inviting. In the mouth the first thought is it is short, with pepper and brine more than tropical fruits. The finish is again short but with an oaky undertone which lasts nicely on the palette. It’s ok but fairly forgettable, and not as good as other Madeiran rhums I have tasted such as the aged William Hinton releases

First Madeira rum! Wow! It reminds me of cracking open a new can of tennis balls and drinking a rich port or sherry, or possibly a mead. Wonderful stuff.

Ça se boit, mais c’est pas le meilleur. Très poivré, boisé, longueur plutôt courte. C’est bon mais pas transcendant
Review by Yann
Rhum jeune très boisé, épicé qui pique bien la langue. Agréable mais pas tous les jours
Review by Arnaud Faverjon
Pas inintéressant mais alcool un peu trop présent dans l’ensemble.

Read full review →That said for a 3 year old rhum this is a very interesting sip. From memory it has more balance than some of the Madeira Agricole, I have tried in the past. It has a Madeira influence but it doesn’t dominate the spirit. It is easy to forget that is...

A very nice independent bottling. Very typical profile with raisin spice and cask aging notes. But I just can't get excited with these bottles. They are absolutely fine for what they are but certainly not over complex thinkers. Easy sipping!
