Les Frères de la Côte ReimonenQ Rhum Agricole Dynamique 2020
Opinions run warm but not unanimous: most tasters call this a tasty young agricole, a couple find it out of balance and green. It's a Guadeloupe column-still blanc aged five months at sea in ex-Porto casks, so you get fresh sugarcane and grassy notes plus a raisin edge from the Port. Licorice, orange and a hint of menthol round it out. Short on the finish.

Wow, the good ones just kept coming. This is a pretty young rum but it's very good and the price is pretty good as well. Nice fruits and spices from nose to finish. In the baxmck I find flowers, licorice and a hint of menthol. Lovely rum.

Overall a very tasty Agricole with typical ReimonenQ tastes, but with a little weak nose. Have had a bottle of this rum for a while and bought me a sample recently to check it out before open the bottle. This was an ReimonenQ Blanc 50% distilled in 2020 filled in two ex-Porto barrels, loaded at a sailing boat and aged onboard for 5 months whereafter it was bottled in 698 50cl bottles.

Incroyable pour 5 mois de vieillissement, on a quand même un bel apport de bois et on sent très bien le côté raisin apporté par le finish Porto.

Assez sympathique, très jeune, on dirait un blanc au départ, mais le Porto fait son travaille et apporte une jolie complexité. Un peu court en finale mais un joli rhum plaisir pour pas cher!

From the Dam Spirits degustation tasting set. Nose: instantly acidic in the nose. Like wine or a wild yeast beer. It's pretty overwhelming. Not sure what to think of this. Taste: cooked vegetables. Very green. Not sure this is the right sample, if I compare them to other notes. Def Agricole alright. More in the vein of some experimental Clairin or Renegade. It's far from what I expected (maybe my palet is off). It does have its perks though. Conclusion: need to retry this.
