Compañia Ron Carioca Ron Carioca Puerto Rican Rum - Tropical Heavy-Bodied
Artificial vanilla, coconut shavings and burnt sugar hit first, and it only gets sweeter from there. Tasters keep reaching for the same image: a boxed cake mix, "artificial sweetness" over a bitter, boozy base. A few catch anise or licorice and a whisky-like edge in the nose. Most agree it barely reads as rum anymore. This is a vintage curiosity, not a drinker.

The liquid History of Puerto Rico - vielen Dank an Artur für die Teilung! Komische Mischung- rauchig, künstlich Backgewürze, Vanille.

06.12.2024 The liquid History of Puerto Rico Tasting First of all, many thanks to Artur for the extreme effort and for sharing such old rums at all. Apart from a few exceptions, the rums themselves weren't really that great, BUT I still really enjoyed it, because you don't get to taste rums like this any more as a normal mortal and I find all this background knowledge that Artur shared incredibly interesting. I really take my hat off to him. Big respect!

5:On the nose, the impression is quite pleasant, sweet with woody notes like burnt sugar, vanilla, baking spices, coconut and licorice, some notes reminiscent to whisky. 3:On the palate, the attack is sweet with brown notes as sugar, woody spices like vanilla, baking spices, roastedness bring some chocolate, there are dried apricots, but without any balance. 3:The finish is medium short with bitterness and wood notes like burnt sugar, caramel, baking spices and dried apricots...

“Tropical heavy bodied” 😅44 gr sugar… Whsky notes in the nose (weird), licorice, sugar. Bad

"heavy bodied" wohl eher heavy gezuckert und aromatisiert 🤣 extrem künstlich wirkende aroma Bombe die an dr. Oetker backmischung erinnert. Leider gleichzeitig sprittig scharf und süß künstlich wirkend. Leider null meins!
