Un très beau nez, cerises au kirsch, boisé, vanillé mais toujours dans l’équilibre. Une attaque en bouche assez douce, mais la bouteille arrive à la fin. Toujours des fruits très équilibrés avec le reste. Une finale moyennent longue mais avec beaucoup d’élégance. Regoûté et encore meilleur que dans mon souvenir. Un rhum très gourmand, raffiné et complexe. Un tout petit peu en dessous des versions à 54%, mais je chipote. Un rhum magnifique qui fait rêver.

9:On the nose, sugarcane, flowery, ripe cherries, strawberries, bananas, yellow fruits, lemon, some rubber, barrel impact obvious, roasted wood notes like chocolate, cream toffee, leather, slightly smoky, spicy with vanilla, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, roastedness with baked apple, butterscotch, roasted nuts, pastry, and spices with baking spices, allspice, complement fruits with berries and sour cherry, candies with bazooka bubble gum, molasses with licorice. 8,9:On the palate, the attack is slightly pungent with overripe tropical and red, citrus fruits, vegetal molasses with briny olive, as the roasted wood brings balance with cream toffee, roasted nuts, confectionery and butterscotch, smoky, with hints of bacon and spicy with allspice, perhaps peppery.When the rum is well rested, it is elegant, the molasses becomes herbaceous, flowery, fresh with tea, slightly sweet with honeycomb, fruits dried with prunes, perhaps cherries, candies like bazooka bubble gum. 8,7:The finish is rather long, less balanced, dry and tannic, as roasted wood notes like sourdough bread, nuts, sweet, buttery tones like butterscotch, caramel, cream toffee, peppery, spicy with allspice, smoky, pair overripe tropical and red fruits, hints of menthol and plastic, slightly vegetal molasses. Erdbeeren, Karamell und Süße Sahne... Tropischer Fruchtsalat mit Sahnetoffeesouce 😅 Am Gaumen dann etwas weniger komplex und deutlich Schwächer dennoch sehr süffig. Alkohol kaum spürbar.

03.03.2018 A wonderful day with my friend from Singapore at the whisky.dk event in my hometown. Notes: Very good bottling. Fruity and fresh with very good balance. Palate is oily and the finish is long with light minty notes. Extra note. I have tried several different bottlings of different ages and I also have two bottles in my collection. In general these releases are really good.

Tolle Nase. Massig Lösungsmittel, sticht auch ordentlich, sehr rauchig und rote Früchte. Die lange Zeit im Fass ist kaum merkbar. frisch und grasig. Tolles Mundgefühl und gute Trinkstärke. Arrak. Plastik, Karamell und pfeffrige Würze im Abgang. Sehr guter Rum, mir gefällt besonders die Kombination aus stechenden Lösungsmitteln und roten Früchten. Geschmacksprofil einzigartig.

Great potpourri of red fruits, caramel and cream toffee. The nose is really beguiling. On the palate, however, it is significantly weaker than its higher proof siblings. Overall very balanced and elegant.

Strawberry cream candy from Campino in the nose 😅🍓🍒🍰 Blindly, I would have immediately guessed Savanna here. Zero wood, brutally intense after strawberry yogurt and ice menthol candy. Really cool and totally extraordinary!

Mir gefallen die Domaine de Courcelles grundsätzlich sehr gut. Dieser Abfüllung merkt man die nur 47 % Alkoholgehalt leider etwas an. Trotzdem eine gute Abfüllung. Mir gefällt da besonders die ausgeprägte Kirschnote.

The one unique mastery of agricole vieux is that they can really perform superb with a lot of diluting. This is no difference, I do prefer the higher proof personally but for the abv this is a top floral and fruity mélange for kings.
