Brugal XV Ron Reserva
"Mostly just honey," as one member put it, with a little floral perfume and some cloying maltiness in the finish. This Dominican column-still rum runs sweet and woody, with caramel and vanilla up front before the oak spice takes over. Creamy and syrupy in the mouth, easy to drink, but several tasters called it short and a bit one-note. A gentle, dessert-leaning sipper.

Suprise pas désagréable. Je m'attendais à quelque chose de très sucré et sans profondeur. Ce n'est pas dingue mais on est sur un ton boisé avec une sucrosité maîtrisée.

5,8:On the nose, the first impression we get light with fruity and coffee notes, sea salt, fudge, sweet sherry, milk chocolate, apricot, sultana raisins, orange peel, a touch of banana, almond and honey. The wood is toasted and spicy, as there is also some toasted coconut... 6:On the palate, the attack is dry, not sweet, also creamy. The taste starts with gentle waves of bitter-sweet honey, vanilla bean, the sherry is there, some salted caramel, chocolate, pleasant oak, toasted, also coconut, there is some cinnamon, candied ginger, clove, and orange peel. 5,7:The finish is soft and woody, dry, coconut still present, with wood spice, a briny note...
