Savanna Unshared Cask for Reunion Island 2007
A slow, neat sipper that leans more brandy than rum — the port-cask aging shows up in both the nose and the glass. Cherry, red berries and citrus over dry oak, with pepper, cinnamon and a caramel-cocoa center. Several tasters call it balanced and a bit tame, and note the finish thins out mid-palate. Refined and quiet rather than a typical bold Savanna.

Ein unshared Cask von Savanna für Reunion. Die Nase ist sehr verhalten, erinnert sogar eher an einen Brandy. Dazu etwas pfeffrig. Am Gaumen geht es sehr holzig zu und mit Röstaromen, getrockneten Früchten, insbesondere Beeren und dunkler, sehr dunkler Schokolade. Alles spielt sich sehr gediegen am Gaumen, keine aufdringlichkeiten. Dieser Rum will sich Zeit einräumen. Die bekommt er noch mehr am sehr trockenen langen Abgang. Sehr interessant und gar nicht typisch für Savanna.

Schöne Farbe! Leicht rauchig, tropische und rote - gibt es diese Kategorie im Lexikon? - Früchte. Ausgewogen könnte ruhig etwas kräftiger sein. Im Mund schön künstlich und holzig/würzig. Sehr viel frisch geriebener schwarzer Pfeffer. Langer, würziger Abgang. Nicht schlecht, aber auch nichts besonderes. Auch nicht mein Beuteschema.

30.01.2022 Going through some samples at home. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Balanced, wood, light roasted, fruity, light cherry, faint smoke. Palate Fresh, wood, light roasted, fruity, berries, faint floral, light caramel, medium dry. Finish Medium long, medium dry, wood, faint smoke, light berries, faint smoke.

👃 Sur le boisé des eaux de vie de raisins, peut-être en Bas-Armagnac. Un joli caramel liquide vanillé, un peu sec et boisé. Des fruits secs (raisins secs), un peu de cerises dans leur alcool, des agrumes légers, des épices poivrées, cannelle aussi. Quelques notes de térébenthine, de sève de pin, belle typicité. 😋 Du caramel mélangé à du beurre et du cacao, assez sec. Des épices encore (poivre, muscade et cannelle), certaine fraîcheur des notes décrites en bouche, térébenthine, sève, presque typée romarin. J'ai cette impression de noix fraîches mais pas encore sèches. Le fruité sur les fruits secs, peut être un peu de fruits rouges. ⛳ Sur un joli bois sec accompagné de vanille fraîche, le fût d'eau de vie de raisins revient, quelques épices. Une édition équilibrée, suffisamment complexe pour passer un bon moment, sans atteindre les hauts degrés. L'aspect frais sur la sève et le romarin m'a plus.

Nase: schön fruchtig-holzig-würzig. Frische von Zitrusfrüchten dazu Kirschen und rote Beeren. Wirkt fast blumig. Dazu kommt aber auch etwas trockenes mit Vanille und etwas künstliches, wie Wachs. Gaumen: zunächst würzig, leicht bitter und etwas Frucht, Richtung Kirsche und Grapefruit. Die Würze geht Richtung Vanille und Muskat, wirkt dadurch etwas holzig. In der Mitte leider etwas flach, da kommt die Verdünnung durch. Da gibt’s besser Savanna…

Edit. Pil jsem to zřejmě brzo. Je to skvělý! Tak o této savaně bohužel nemůžu říct, že by mi sedla. Ovoce ve vůni, ovocné tóny jsou na patře znát celkem hned, ale tlučou se s méně integrovaným alkoholem, ( a to ho tam není moc). Ve středně dlohém závěru alkohol ustupuje a objevují se jahody. To je fajn :-)

On sent tout de suite le vieillissement en fût de Porto, aussi bien au nez qu'en bouche. Un rhum sage, un peu trop pour moi mais très plaisant !

Rumy z destilerie Savanna jsou jedny z mych nejoblibenejsich. Doporucuji kazdemu vyzkouset zejmena vuce esterove kousky jako je Grand arome nebo HERR. Tolik ovoce v nekolika malo kapkach tekutiny jste dlouho necitili.

Le nez est très intéressant avec un léger boisé et beaucoup de fruité dont la cerise. La bouche est cohérente avec le nez mais assez plate. La finale quasi inexistante fait vraiment baisser la note
