A very good Uitvlugt, full of character and quite complex! He comes in nose rather fruity (papaya, heavy old yellow fruit )hence! The palate is initially sweet but quickly changes to a spicy woody, then toasted mocha-like note! Overall very smooth and elegant! The finish is woody and then quite bitter..later joins some dried fruit!

great PM profile, reminds me somewhat of the Rum Cask 97/23y with the wonderful olive note. On the nose beyond that also anise, caramel, yellow fruit, green tea. On the palate, allspice, mocha, candied. In the finish black tea and passion fruit. Really tasty!

This is a solid and complex rum. Maybe it doesn't hit you in the face with bold flavours, but it's very well matured. Nose: honey, aniseed, yellow fruit, papaya, gingerbread, olive, green tea. Taste: more spice and green now: olive, salt, aniseed, tea, tobacco, papaya. Finish: moderate, spicy, including ginger, tea, olive, salt, fruit.

#5505 25.07.2025 Enjoying a few samples after coming back from the local Food Festival. Nose Round, wood, light roasted, light citrus, light anise, faint floral, light olive, faint coffee. Palate Round, balanced, wood, light roasted, light licorice, light floral, faint coffee, light mint, light tar. Finish Long, wood, faint roasted, light dried fruit, licorice, faint tar, light mint. Empty glass Mint, licorice, light olive, light tar, faint herbs. Needs to rest for a good while or add a few drops of water for it to really open up.

Very aromatic, lot of anize on nose (too much), however still smooth and elegant, nice candizated fruits, overall good but not my sip of the day:)

Pretty classic aniseed flavours overall. Typical PM stills. This is an elegant rum. Light yellow fruits leaning toward overripe (Peaches. Kiwi. Pear) but not right there. A candied sweetness - like the sugarcoating of the oriental snack: sugared chickpeas. The beauty lies in its subtleness. Very flowery/floral: rose(water), violins, chamomille (including the dryness and mustiness). I like it a lot.

One more delicious Uitvlught. This time a Single Cask. Nose: Bright & complex. Tea, chamomile, dry apricots, tar, sandal wood, baked apples, camphor, marmalade, fennel, touch of esters, roots, olive & grass. Palate: Boom ! Rich & bright. Dry apricots, tea, little bit of sweetness, flowers, yellow fruits, esters, tar, eucalyptus, roots, camphor & hint of anise, sandal, wax. Great ! Aftertaste: long, complex, round, dry. Some flowers, tar, sandal, green tobacco, lot of yellow fruits & touch of anise. Conclusion: absolutely delicious! Wery great rum. Complex, balanced, bright & interesting. It's almost Excellent ) Of course - highly recommend this stuff.
