High Spirits Collection Port Mourant Fine Old Demerara Rum 1975

Super nice bottling. Mega dark tones with extremely heavy sweetness and an almost endless bouquet! Lots of wood, spices, yet fruit and caramel... It was endless fun! Thanks to the noble donor!

29.03.2014 Whiskymessen Met a few new rum guys that have stuck until this day. We all went back home to pick up some bottles that we shared at the event. Notes Very dark in colour. Nose Wood, roasted, earthy, light coffee, faint chocolate, plum, licorice. Palate Wood, roasted, balanced, licorice, plum, cherry, light caramel, coffee, chocolate, herbs. Finish Long, wood, chocolate, light coffee, herbs.

Macimum caramel, burnt sugar, leather. Alcohol is integrated, but the other tastes than caramel disappear fast.
