This rum is a positive surprise!A very intense fruity and herbal nose with some sour dough!On the palate it spreads oily creamy and intense! Initially fruity , then changing into the herbal (with slight spiciness and anise) 71.3% ....they are barely noticeable, great!The finish is then classic Agricole (grassy / hay / steppe)If you take into account here even the price... a clear buy recommendationAnd immediately there is a Ti Punch with it 😋

not quite as complex and fat as the saint James brut de colonne but still incredibly tasty and easy to drink for 71.3%! reminds me somehow of sour red currants, plus red / pink pepper, nutmeg and lemon verbena..unfortunately, it is also gone again quickly otherwise the rating would have been higher!

#5763 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. Now this is a really nice Brut de Colonne. On top of that the price tage is very good in my mind. An intense yet balanced release with lots of sugarcane, fruits and spices. Add a few drops of water and a whole new world of flavours come out of the glass.

A Brut de colonne rum that is as charming as it is deceptive. The nose shows a vegetal and floral freshness, with notes of olive, grass and hay. Sugar cane, pepper, citrus (lime), candied and fermented notes round out this very suave profile on the nose, which doesn't show the slightest aggression. The rum shows a greediness and a surprising roundness in mouth despite its 71,3%. The flavors, similar to the nose, remain homogeneous and propose a complete and balanced profile. The finish is both dry, slightly spicy and very fresh, floral and vegetal. A very good premium white rum

Nez très engageant sur des notes florales douces comme le coquelicot, sucre , et un rappel du taux de alcool avec une légère odeur de éthanol . La bouche est intense ce qui parrait normal avec 71,3°. On part sur des goût beaucoup plus vifs que le nez , du poivré, zan , yuzu .la finale glisse progressivement vers des notes herbeuses presque foin et du sucré. Lalcool n est pas agressif et apporte une belle puissance aromatique et gustative.

The aroma is an excellent blend of citrus fruits, flowers and grassy notes. The first time I tasted this, I would have just written murder in the rating, but now and after warming up with Dillon 55%, a perfectly fine rum. Lots of nutmeg, sugar cane and citrus. Very dry and good rum. You need to drink to this one and give it a second chance eventually.

Nez :très engageant sur des notes florales douces et herbacées et un peu d'alcool ,très légé. La bouche est très intense pendant 5 secondes. On part sur des goût beaucoup beaucoup plus vifs que le nez ,du poivré, du floral et du herbacé. La finale glisse progressivement vers des notes herbeuses presque foin et du sucré. L'alcool n'est pas agressif du tout tout le long de la dégustation et apporte une belle puissance aromatique et gustative.

Schöner BdC mit feiner natürlicher Süße, etwas Mineralik und gut eingebundenem Alkohol. Macht Spaß, lediglich die fast gänzlich fehlenden fruchtigen Noten verhindern eine noch bessere Bewertung.

Cross tasting Agricole Blanc. Nose: heavier and deeper than the Pére Labat, similar to the Saint James but where the latter offers banana, here you find more old vegetables/compost (not in a negative sense). Overall, however, clear agricole with predominantly sugar cane and cane sugar. Palate: in addition to the typical and here very intense Agricole notes, there is licorice, pepper, compost Clearly superior to the Pére Labat (the comparison is probably a little unfair 😉) but slightly behind the Saint James, as it is fruitier and more interesting due to the hazelnut note.
