Espiritus Pixan 6 años Solera Wine Finish
Sip it neat and the wine-cask influence hits first: red wine and cherry over brown sugar, then a spicy, leathery, young-oak finish. Several tasters found it "dry, spicy, a bit rough," and a common gripe is the woody, sharp tail that runs a little hot for a 40% rum. Nice nose, though — a few called it superb before the palate caught up.

How does Espiritus Pixan 6 años Solera Wine Finish taste?
Aggregated from 24 community reviews.
Wine-finished, dry and a little rough Middle of the road. People like the red-wine nose and cherry, but the young-wood, spicy finish reads rough and a bit sharp — not a highlight, but drinkable.

Quite okay for the edge data. No highlight at 40%, but for the price also well drinkable. Quite round and the finish is present, but not superimposed, I find that positive in any case.

Feiner Geschmack nach Rotwein! Leider ist der Abgang zu stark nach Holz.
